”Christmas at Overflow: God is for you!” - Pastor Erin Arruda

Monday Nov 28, 2022
The new series, Christmas at Overflow, kicks off today. We are being called to believe in four key truths: that God is for us, he is with us, he is in us, and he moves through us. What is possible in the kingdom of God when we believe these truths? There is an ongoing effect of transformation in us!
In this first message of a 6-part series, Pastor Erin asks us, if you believe God is for you, then what are you believing him for? She interviews Philip and Anna Mull who
are stepping out in their God-given dream to become missionaries to a foreign land. The interview begs us to identify our dream, identify the author, identify the obstacles and identify the next steps of that dream.

"Grief is as much a part of the human experience as love. In fact, in a broken world, grief is often the PRICE of love.” In this message, we look to the thread Jesus has woven through His story to see a life-changing lens of what He is up to in the midst of our grief and why it is so important we stop resenting the places He is renovating so we will be able to join Him in loving completely and to grieve with hope in our waiting for home!

”Prophets & Losses: Hosea” - Pastor Erin Arruda

Wednesday Oct 19, 2022
As we continue our series on Prophets and Losses, we look closely at propet Hosea and his marriage to Gomer, who was a prostitute. It's an illustration which ultimately reveals God's renewed vow to love Israel even in her unfaithfulness. This Old Testament story now compels us, by the Gospel of Jesus, to see this narrative from a deeper perspective. And to ask two questions: Like Hosea, am I willing to sacrifice my reputation and what people might think or assume, to share God's message? Like Gomer, do I seek out other lovers? Join us as we are challenged to understand the depth of the Father's renewed covenant with us, the invitation to break up with every other lover, and to crave the love of Jesus more than anything else.

How? In this message, we look at how we gain our lives by losing them in surrender, spirit-filled confidence, and radical commission. Come and hear how YOUR unique calling awaits you to follow in the footsteps of Elisha!
